Nah, just a raging migraine.  It is starting to come down slowly.  I'll be back in commission tomorrow morning.  I can afford to miss today and Mom, who has suffered from migraines since 1978, told me that if I can afford to miss this afternoon I should and stay in a cool, relatively dark house, I'll be the better for it.  I don't have to go anywhere tonight, and we'll just have a light dinner.  I think I overdid it last night.  I went to church and hung out with the youth for their water wars welcome party for the 2013-2014 school year.  My cousin's son and my now former music minister's granddaughter are both entering the sixth grade and going into the youth at the new church, and the older youth hosted a water party for them complete with a water slide and water balloon fights.  I didn't participate, but I stood on my feet from 18:00-20:15 last night in the sweltering evening heat and then ate a second dinner, as well.  I had a lot of fun, but I think that's where my headache started.  It just developed and matured overnight.  I took some Imitrex about 5:30 this morning and laid back down for another 3 hours and then got up and took some Excedrin Migraine to help the Imitrex out and then scrambled up some eggs for breakfast.  At 5:30 this morning, it was sitting at a 9 of 10, then when I woke up at 8:45, it was still at a 7.5 of 10, but now has come down to a 6.5-7.0.  All is well in CADD-land.  I have to go tomorrow no matter what level my headache is at.

I like to remain young at heart and with a family member in the youth, I wanted to be there in support of him.  He has been around younger kids all his life with his siblings, but now has entered the middle school and needs to be around older kids in a Christian environment where he will be loved, cared for, and challenged to grow.  The middle school is a secular environment and kids, especially middle schoolers, can be very mean.  He will not be loved or cared for by very many of the kids in middle school, so he needs that at church.  The youth at church is mostly middle school and freshman age with a few seniors there to serve as mentors to the younger ones.  I wanted to be with the youth last night in support of him.  He knew he could come to me if he needed a break, which he never did, and he seemed to have a lot of fun.  His mother and dad were in the Worship Service, but I was out there with him to give him support.  He'll get to a point where he does not need any adult there other than the Youth Pastor and other volunteers, but right now since this was like his 4th Wednesday to be in the youth, his mother (my cousin) requested I stay out there with him.  Plus, I had fun, as well just standing there being a judge on their water balloon capture the flag game.

The second dinner was clearly a mistake.  Or, should I be more accurate and say the first dinner was the mistake.

The second dinner did cause me to gain a little bit of weight last night.  I was at 261.4 yesterday morning, but was at 262.0 this morning.

Yes, my drink was on an outdoor air conditioner unit and I ate the sandwich standing up.  I cannot sit on the ground without my foot going to sleep in just 5 minutes, I have very poor circulation it seems in my legs.  Plus, I grumble and moan like someone twice my age when I get up and have to crawl to an object that I can hoist myself up with.  There were no chairs.  The closest I could get to a chair were steps leading from the back door of the church to the parking lot, but I didn't want to block it.

Yes, I do.  I see the doctor on October 4, and I'll ask him at that time about the poor circulation.  Heck, I can't even sit on the can without my foot falling asleep after 10-15 minutes.

Like I said, I clearly admit the first dinner was a mistake.  The second would have been fine on its own, but the first dinner was the mistake.

I had been doing rather well the past few days, but stumbled with the temptation of the second dinner last night.  Oh well, back to it today.

That sounds about right.  According to www.webmd.com, it is common in people who have prediabetes.  My blood sugar count is normal, but I'm wondering it is possible to have prediabetes or diabetes without high blood sugar?  I've got several other causes or factors of diabetes, except I don't have high blood sugar.  I'm curious.

1 ham sandwich with mustard, pickles, and lettuce, a bag of Lay's Sour Cream & Onion potato chips, and a Diet Dr. Pepper.
