WV AG Patrick Morrisey has just decided to run. How would he match up against Manchin if Jenkins loses the Primary?

John Raese is even less likely than Morrisey to defeat Manchin. Safe D if Raese gets the nomination. Will Raese run in 2018?

Unless Republicans do something stupid and nominate John Raese, Manchin will be in for the fight of his life. Tilt R with Jenkins, Tilt D with Morrisey.

My God, Raese is going to run AGAIN? I remember when he ran against Jay Rockefeller in 84, and he was a flaming asshole then. How this idiot hasn't turned into the Howard Stassen of West Virginia is beyond me.

Oh ye$, it $uddenly dawn$ on me.
You mean Harold Stassen? Raese might run.

Might any spoilers prevent Jenkins from winning the GOP primary?

The John Raese for Senate Facebook page is still active! I wonder if this weak candidate will run in 2018. Will Raese also launch a primary challenge against Shelley Moore-Capito in 2020? Might he run against Jim Justice for governor in 2020? He's become WV's Harold Stassen.

Check out the John Raese for Senate Facebook page. He just posted today: "Shelley Moore-Capito has already come out against ACA repeal. She is now officially a part of the opposition party." He's being so delusional about running it's getting more ridiculous. He ran against every elected incumbent WV US Senator in my lifetime (Robert Byrd, Jay Rockefeller, and Joe Manchin). Will he run in 2018 and/or launch a primary challenge against Moore-Capito in 2020?

It's odd his Facebook campaign page is still active. Raese still frequently posts there.

Breaking. Some no-name Republican named Scott Ernst is in. He's not related to Joni Ernst of Iowa, is he?

Does anyone want to see Raese get the nomination so that Manchin easily wins?

Democrat Chase Henderson, a photographer from Huntington, launched a primary challenge against Manchin.

Manchin has a second primary challenger, a photographer named Chase Henderson. This should help Manchin win the primary even more easily.

With Bannon-endorsed Roy Moore winning in AL, will Morrisey win in WV?

Who wins? Steve Bannon endorses Morrisey. The establishment supports Jenkins.

Tomblin could win if a joke like Mooney or Raese is nominated because Moore-Capito retires or gets primaried, especially if Republican Gov. Justice endorses Tomblin.

Manchin also has gobs of money, and WV is a less expensive state for campaigning.
Where do you think he raised that money, working hard at the soup kitchen feeding the homeless? No, raising millions of dollars from his donors and lobbyists who represent wall street and oil and gas companies.

I guess Jenkins or Morrissey would be better senators right?
A Justice Democrat would even get clobbered by Don Blankenship or John Raese.

Who wins the GOP primary, Morrisey, Jenkins, Blankenship, or someone else?

So if Blankenship wins it basically proves that any idiot can win a GOP primary by being the only one to attack McConnell?
Yes, especially if John Briscoe beats moderate Republican David Clifford for the sacrificial lamb runoff spot in CA-47.

Molesting Moore, Suckonne, and MS 13 Gillespie take notice
Turnout in the Democratic primary was low most likely because Manchin didn't face a serious challenge. Look at NJ-GOV 2017, the state only voted to the right of its Presidential election vote because Democratic turnout was low in a state where Phil Murphy was heavily favored.

If he can't get on the ballot because of the sore loser law, will he run as a write-in?
