I think while I would ultimately prefer to take Scandinavia back again, I'll be happy with whatever the GM decides.

If Y decides they'd prefer to move on from Scandinavia, I'd give it a crack. It's probably the only region I am experienced in enough to not fail when it comes to Major/Regional powers in Europe. If not I'll probably take up the cause of a regional power in Afro-Asia.

Though, I think a country like Greece or possibly an ethnic nation depending on how the revolutions of 1848 went.

I won't lie, I'm a bit confused myself. I'm assuming this is all leading up from the previous games, correct? Or is this just an alt-history scenario that OP created themselves? If the former, are there links to the previous games per-chance so those of us who didn't participate can get a better grasp on the events leading up to the current state of the world?

Here is the end of the last game, there are two more before them too. Lots of reading to catch up on, don't worry I'll have to do a lot of remembering/rereading too!
