She neera-ly made it, but controversies sank her nomination.

Once again, not technically a Cabinet pick but an excellent appointment nonetheless:

Amazing choice.
A good choice to help bolster the era of a new majority. Tongue

It doesn't really matter very much anyway. All the relevant work is handled by permanent bureaucrats, civil servants, staff; this was just a way to compensate Obamaworld if I had to guess.

Yikes, I hate to say this, but Hassan's doomed reelection bid isn't as important as filling an appellate court seat, and Duckworth probably doesn't need to campaign much anyways. Either she wins by twenty, or the GOP wave is so high she loses no matter what she does.

They both should have been in D.C for this vote.

Other than maybe Supreme Court (see Kavanaugh 2018) or other high-profile cabinet appointments, barely anyone pays attention to these confirmation votes of their senator. Certainly no one is changing their vote because of this. The people paying attention to this are basically just politics "nerds" that aren't swing voters.
The vast majority of the electorate is paying no attention whatsoever to whether Senator John Radnik (D-WI) voted for the Biden's judicial pick for the Northwestern District of Minnsconchigan.
