yes, very much.  I enjoy most humans until they are 8ish.  Toddlers are the best (and the worse at the same time somehow).  I think it's the fact that they are tiny and I can toss small human shaped creatures around and feel like a giant.

Babies, thinking about it more, are a mixed bag (of poo) ain't they.  Fun to look at for a minute, but they kind of don't do much but leak and smell until they are 6 months or so.  But if they're chubby, my inner primate compels me to give their cheeks a pinch and say things like "I just want to eat him up".  I'm at least 4% grandma.

Babies are biologically made to be irresistably cute and charm us-so, yes.

However, do I care about hearing about everyone's babies, or seeing constant photos of them, or even being around them? Not necessarily. I only sometimes care about all that.

Every time I hear a baby cry I want to drop kick it into the clouds.

Yes (literally sane and normal, it is literally in our DNA to like babies and want to protect them for the good of the species)

This is kind of a glib question, in the same way as "do you like cats/dogs/etc" are kind of glib questions. The most important thing is thinking that they should be protected from harm, as with all other sentient beings.

Honestly that answer might even make me more uncomfortable than the people who say that they can't stand babies.

Yes of course, but I usually don't have the appetite for a whole one.

it reads like the kind of statement they'd have to put out after the candidate was caught punching a baby

Oh hey, if you've ever seen one of my rants about the host of Coast to Coast AM George Nori (Noory) this is another one of his hilarious quotes (I heard him say this one at the time!)

"If you raised a baby and beat it and kicked it and yelled at it, it would turn out to be a mean baby?"

Of course, I don't think anything can top this Nooryism

I love kids, and I don't trust people that don't.

That includes teenagers.  If you say "I want a baby!" you are implicitly saying "I want a teenager!". Today's teenagers are in a terrible spot, and I am grateful that I grew up when I did.

I don't want to have or care for one but I don't have a problem with them generally.

I like being the 'Guncle' with my friend's kids who all generally love me, and I love spending time with them + I've been told that I'm good with kids.

But I also enjoy giving them back to the parents at the end of the day and enjoy the peace and quiet after, lol.

Babies are less independent / interesting and tbh I'm okay after a few minutes of holding one.
