Bell likely won a lot of those areas due to name rec alone.... he was on the ballot 12 years ago, so a lot of older democrats likely remember him.

Potentially the African-American population that is in east texas, as there is a large percentage in that region. That seems to easy to use but I think it is valid enough.

News websites made an error in the GOP primary, accidentally reporting that Cornyn got 95 votes in San Saba. He actually got 959. Cornyn won every county. What will the Denocratic runoff look like? Who will the primary losers endorse?

He has actual political experience (he’s a state legislator). I think he would be an excellent to the Senate Judiciary Committee. Hegar doesn’t have the political experience. I believe political experience is important when running statewide.

I mean, let's face it.  Texas Dems were VERY spoiled with Beto.  He brought a special magic to a statewide race that I don't think any other Texas Dem would be able to replicate.

Webb is a majority-Hispanic county.
