Yes, and don't know.  These things don't have a great track record.

No/No.  I would watch it, but I'm watching the Oklahoma City Thunder instead tonight.  I don't think he'll get a bounce from it, but it could potentially backfire on him and start a late McCain rally in the final 5 days.

Did Perot get hurt from his infomercials?

Or is it just candidates that y'all disagree with that get "backlash" from every single possible action they could take?

Did Perot's infomercial delay the resumption of a potentially decisive World Series game?

No, but NEITHER WILL OBAMA.

Were Perot and his supporters completely over-saturated in the media coverage for the better part of a year prior to the infomercials? Did Perot's ads completely blanket every swing state for months prior to the infomericials?

Yes, McCain voters will be annoyed.

Yes, Obama's infomercial will delay the start of the game.   When the ad was bought, Game 6 was supposed to be played today.  It was scheduled to start at 8:20.  Baseball Commissioner Bud Selig agreed to move the start to 8:35.

So cry a little. I read an article saying McCain was actually blasting Obama about it. How pathetic...really.

The game will start 15 mins delayed. Oh my God. Thats catastrophy. Millions will die, thousand will be rendered homeless, half of the known species on planet Earth will vanish, the icebergs will melt and half the land mass of countries that we know today will vanish. There is a way out. Vote John Same McBush.

It's talking about people he's met over the course of the campaign and their stories and blah blah blah.

It only just started, but its interesting.

Yeah I lied, I said I wouldn't watch it but I am.

Looks pretty good to me, but how well will it play over with others?

That part about the healthcare and the man having to go back to work .. looked pretty strong.

That's another way of putting it. Coroporations evil. Working people good. You helpless victim. Bordering on dangerous protectionism (ie: prevent outsourcing). Does nothing to really address the root of these problems.

For once, I'd like some politician or reporter to actually question WHY some of these people are having their homes foreclosed in the first place. Could it be that they were wrecklessly spending beyond their means? No corporation FORCED them into taking out that loan or mortgage...whatever happened to individual responsibility?

= ineffective

I guess we'll see, though.

My issue is that he hasn't really put forth any plans that even pique my interest.  This is going to be another 30 minutes of the same halfway, vague ideas?

And to think I was soft for Obama about 2 months ago...

I think adding random people he's met over the past year or so was a good idea. I like it so far. I don't think its going to sway anyone though Tongue

Yeah, but I'm not sure he really made the connection between their situation and his solutions...whatever they are.

This may just motivate some people to go out there and vote. It is targeted at the base and people who share his philosophy, which on economic issues is the majority of the country.
