Plus side: Afghanistan and Iraq are now democracies with governments elected by the people.
Down side: More sectarian violence and underground/insurgent terrorist activities like ISIS.

Hurt, obviously, but always easy to say in hindsight.

I don't really consider Afghanistan to be the Middle East.

Anyway, the decision to dissolve the Iraqi military and bureaucracy has to go down as one of the all time top blunders of US foreign policy. The trouble (well, one trouble anyway)) withya and the foreign policy idealogy he and his allies held was that it was very ambitious and outstripped the ability of the halfwits Bush tended to rely on and promote.

Hurt.

George W. Bush, Dick Cheney, and Donald Rumsfeld basically created ISIS. And I don't mean any of these stupid conspiracy theories. I mean bad leadership decisions.

I've opposed the Iraq war from day one and all subsequent events only confirmed my position.
