I used to post drunk or stoned quite often. Something I think most adults on here are comfortable admitting Tongue

Really, the difference between sober me and drunk/stoned/high me is pretty minuscule. I almost always act like a brain-dead fool  in real life.

The fact that this new way of thinking has come around a New Year is purely coincidental, but I've been slowly caring about myself more and more, and have become more aware of other's pain. I'm ready to take back my life, and become the person I've dreamed about being. From this point on, I'm a new person. Not because of a holiday, but because of the work I've put into change. Thank you to everyone who has been patient with me over the years, including many posters here who have helped me see my short comings and have been essential to me correcting them, I won't let you down.

Tragically, it seems as if someone has been hit by a tram at Disney World 😞

Well, looks like I may have been wrong. Either the media and Disney are really, really good at covering it up or Waze screwed up. Probably the latter.

My 11 year old dog's been having shortness of breath for about the past month. My mom and I are supposed to be taking him to the vet today, but the possibility that this may be it is scaring me.

Well, he's got Congestive Heart Failure, but we caught it early enough to give him a few more years before things really start to go downhill. They're gonna tinker around with his meds for a bit to see what works.

EDIT: I sounded way to sad when I wrote this. The fact that we know what's wrong and have a plan forward to give him the best life possible has me ecstatic!

We don't have hot water at our house and the Internet has been really sh**ty all day, this is one of the only sites I can get fully loaded.

Probably going to have to go to my aunt's house just to shower.

Thank you, guys.

I hope all of you have a great 2018. My constant, unwavering optimism is still up for this new year - for myself and for everybody. The holiday season is over, but the year has just begun!

TMZ came on after the local news.

...I can't believe I'm saying this, but:

I'm probably going to lose my driver's license and I'm going to be stuck for a long time....

I hope I'm wrong, but too much is depending on me either passing the written test in Commiefornia or all my paperwork lining up perfectly in Texas.

....I just don't have a good feeling about 2018 already, just based off this.

One of my best friends appears to be somewhat missing. Knowing him, it's not unusual for him to disappear from society for a while, but he deleted his Facebook page and doesn't seem to be responding to anyone on any medium - which has me worried. The only person who might know his whereabouts is his boyfriend, but I've never met him (I suspect there's a reason for that), and I don't really feel like prying too much.

To add to the weirdness, he cancelled a get-together with me and another friend at the last minute on Saturday, but said he could reschedule for Monday, and hasn't responded to anything from us after that. He is a pretty free-spirited person who is notorious for being flakey, but needless to say, I'm concerned.

I just had the bright idea of hijacking a Brockhampton Stan Twitter game to try and impress a girl. Luckily, facts and logic were able to cooperate with social anxiety to keep me from actually doing it. Not the worst thing I would have ever done to aid my love life, but probably top five. Probably.

I need to make like George Constanza in that one episode of Seinfeld, and just do exactly the opposite of what my instincts tell me.

Also, it’s 2:00 in the morning. Wheeeee

My arm has been in excruciating pain all day.
Now my other arm is hurting, although the pain is less excruciating and more annoying.

My dad might be buying a boat from a middle/lower tier Trump appointee in the Department of the Interior. Pretty interesting guy apparently.

Tomorrow marks 10 years since the day that, while I didn't realize it at the time, has had the greatest impact on my life.  A middle school version of me was spending the weekend at my grandparents' farm house (really just a countryside vacation home for them), and it just seemed like any other weekend.  We had a nice dinner and were watching the NFL playoffs.  Then, we decided to put a presidential primary debate on the TV.  While watching the debate, my grandfather was asking me a series of questions to try to figure out whether I was a Republican or Democrat, and I largely did not even understand what he was saying.

However, one question from that night stuck with me.  My grandfather had asked me what I thought about abortion, to which I replied "what's that?".  After he told me what it was, I said that it was murder and was horrified that it was legal to kill a baby.  At that point, I didn't even know which side thought what on abortion (something I would learn during the general election campaign), but, ever since that day, I have dedicated my life to ending abortion.  It's the most important thing I could ever do and will save millions of people who I will never even meet, but who still deserve to live.

Reposting from discord

Found a random reddit post about a person going through an awful time crying out for help that my emotions suspect is someone I know (TBF their username has the persons first name on it, but its a commonish name) even though logicallly its not super likely.
