As everyone knows I’m skeptical democrats can flip the house next year, however that doesn’t mean it’s impossible under the right circumstances. It will be interesting to see how others respond to this question, I myself am quite conflicted on weather he’d win reelection after a bad midterm.

It's not impossible. Clinton and Obama pulled off re election after the beating their party took in 1994 and 2010 respectively, and Eisenhower, Nixon, and Reagan all got re elected with Democrats controlling the house. With that said, if the Dems, with the disadvantage of GOP gerrymandering,  win a majority by 5 seats or more, Trump will probably lose.

Trump isn't going to be re-elected.

Pence has a good chance of being re-elected even with a democratic house.

No, but the house elections aren't a factor.

I originally thought he could win reelection even after losing the house, however there a good chance that a democratic-controlled house would launch a ton of investigations that could cause him not to run again.

No, but the house elections aren't a factor.

This. Americans seem to despise Trump far more than Congressional Republicans.
It wouldn't be out of the realm of possibility for GOP to hold the House while Trump loses in 2020.

No, but barring impeachment or a "yuge" scandal that he can't dodge; Trump has 3 more years and is probably reaching a nadir in popular sentiment.  The tax reform and healthcare reform (part XVII) finally going through will probably boost him to about the 50/50 mark at least.

How so? Congress has an 8% approval rating, Trump has a 38% approval rating.

The Dems just have to gain seats in the mid-terms, but Trump won't get reelected.

This will largely depend on Trump's approval ratings in 2020.

Reagan (1984), Clinton (1996), Bush 43 (2004), and Obama (2012) all enjoyed approval ratings of 50% or better when they were reelected, while Carter (1980) and Bush 41 (1992) each had approval ratings under 40% when they lost in their bids for reelection.

If Trump's approval rating can climb to at or near 50% by November 2020, he has a decent chance of getting reelected, although IMO he is currently not on track to achieve that.
