Emmanuel Macron emerged from the first round of voting on April 10 the leading candidate with 27.8%, with Le Pen trailing him by 4.6%.

While Maron just missed a two-thirds majority in the exact same match-up five years ago, polls merely indicate a narrow lead for him this time.




The Atlas community even expects the election to be a cakewalk for him.

Though most guessed rather lower.

Tbf a score of 54-55% was a pretty reasonable assumption immediately after the first round. Things moved further in Macron's favour subsequently though.
