Cuomo would probably pull it off, but I really wonder who he could use to balance the ticket. You could say someone from the South or out West, but I cannot imagine anyone who compliments his candidacy. I am practically stumped, unless he would consider Brian Schweitzer. I suppose if he wanted a woman for the history-making effect, he could pick Claire McCaskill. I am pretty sure people from both parties would just be confused if he picked either, but they don't have any huge disadvantages. When I look at Cuomo, who seems to have a moderate record, I would expect him not to compromise his appeal to the undecided voters with the addition Northeastern liberal to the ticket, which rules out several candidates who other Democratic Presidential nominees would be in a position to consider.
What about Kay Hagan? She seems fairly moderate and compatible with Cuomo. Although it would mean sacrificing her Senate seat.
