Mr. Governor, what do you mean by "Midwestern National Guard"?  Our Constitution says the following about the defense of our region in times of great necessity:

To me, it seems like our Land, Sky, and Wave Corps, though assuredly strong in morale and pep, is likely not all that vast in size.  I suggest we coordinate more forcefully with the national government (however you define it) in these times of strife, or with aforementioned "private militias".
