Not at all.  She makes Dan Quayle look like a Mensa member.
Indeed. Dan Quayle looks more like J.J. than Sarah Palin does.

Well played sir.

She seems like a good and decent person.  I tend to agree she's been unfairly treated by the media.  She is no idiot... idiots do not rise to her position in national politics.  With that said, she delivers a great speech... like Obama... but unlike Obama has not shown a strong grasp of the crucial issues facing this nation.

Just my 2 cents.

Hmm.

I don't think she's dumb, and I don't think she's inept.  She was a competent Governor.  But I don't think she has much interest in actually understanding national issues, more keeping afloat.  She's intellectually superficial.  Moreover, I think she's a lot more comfortable with her prescribed role of cultural attack dog than with that of possible presidential successor.

I'm not yet convinced that she isn't competent to be President, but I'm also not convinced she is.  So, I voted "no."
^^^^^^^^^^^
what I don't understand is how people could have looked at Bush as Qulified in 2000 and then again In 2004 Especalliy, he easily sounds ten times dumber then Sarah Palin.

Palin > Bush.

Do with that what you will.

Nope.

Gee... I seem to recall that there was a Republican on this forum who, when this whole VP thing was discussed the first time around, expressed concerns that she wasn't ready, while everyone attacked me for saying that.  Who was that?  Who was that?  Hmmmm... anyone remember?

It was Chris from Pennsylvania.  Are you acquainted?  ;-)

The most interesting thing about this poll remains, is that Pubbies are not voting, or have split, or switched parities, in considerable numbers. Pubbies here used to poll here a lot more than a handful of votes!

I think the correct time to do this poll would be after the election. I think a lot of republicans just don't feel like voting no out of partisanship. And I am sure some more democrats and independents would have voted yes as well if held after the election.

They kind of got discouraged and left, or pretended to act as Democrats/Indys or something else.  It's been that way for about 4 years or so now.

Palin may be ok  for a down to earth type of person to watch a sports game with, and may be fine for Gov of Alaska.  I don't think she is competent for the job of vice president or president.

Funny how the gop likes to  compare  her with having more experience then Obama.

While he might not have 26 years of being a senator, Obama has a very high IQ and understands issues and the world.

Tina Faye has ruined Palin as a candidate.

No, I don't think so, but it could be argued that it doesn't make much difference who the candidate is because their policies don't directly stem from them. The main weakness with Palin is her lack of knowledge about issues, and her half assed demeanor dealing with the press. I'm surprised with her tact (or lack thereof) considering the amount of coaching I think she's gotten.

They might not feel good voting in this one Smiley
