#3. I took a CPL course last spring/summer and have the certificate lying around if I feel the need to get a CPL, but I felt it wasn't for me.

I've seen plenty of police officers in my life, but that seems obvious and redundant, so let's just go with option 5.  Proud of it.  Smiley

Nice try, I don't believe in background checks.

My grandfather owned a decomissioned and deactivated gun from his time in the military, so option 4 for me surprisingly (though I am not sure if it counts).

In any case I do not intend to own guns any time soon. I am already somewhat scared when I am out shooting with a friend of mine who owns a compressed air rifle, I can't imagine shooting a "real gun".

Second-to-last option. I've handled guns (I work in a museum that focuses on contact-era Iroquois archeology but also has some later stuff including Civil War-era weaponry), but never fired one.

Fired one, never lived in a house with one, which is probably the standard 'grew up in the British countryside' answer.

Option 3. Fired one once at a biathlon range in Canada. I'm not a good shot, as it turns out.

'I have never lived with or shot a gun but have seen one irl before' got my vote, and I'm happy for it to stay that way - my interest would only be in their history rather than anything recreational.

Option 4 due to the presence of police officers.

I've got prior experience in laser tag, of that counts. Cheesy

Never owned one or lived with someone that owned one but I'm vaguely considering getting one at some point.

Obviously, being a boy scout, I have shot them before.

Used to have a gun at home, but it was actually owned by the government.

I shot a gun that was just full of gunpowder once. My only real interaction with a gun.

I currently own a lot of guns. I plan to continue growing my collection forever, and I don't see why I'd ever get rid of any unless I gift them to my kids some day, so I imagine the number I currently own will never go down. In fact I acquired two new guns just today. They were gifts from my wife's grandfather, who has officially reached the "give everything I own away" stage of life.

On a residential ‘adventure’ trip I went on in school, one of the activities was a firing range, but that was only rubber pellets so I’m not sure if it counts. Apart from that, nothing.
