My first attempt playing as Wilson in the 1996 End of History Director's Cut.
I lead for most of the race, and until the "October Surprise" was ahead in a landslide with over 400 electoral votes. After that (I think it was the Soviet Union Civil War?) I fell behind, but I was able to pull off a comeback and win narrowly. I spent all of my campaign visits in California which really paid off as you can see. I wasn't able to prevent Dornan from entering the race but did manage to hold onto enough of the South, while in the Midwest I barely clung to Ohio which proved to be the decisive state. I faired better out west, winning California and Oregon. I also won Maine, largely (I think) because I picked William Cohen as my running mate. This hurt me among conservatives but I do think I did enough to placate them just barely. I got Ending 39 which was a fun read.
I like the Director's Cut so far, the changes (especially on the Wofford side) are great and the new endings are fun to explore. Definitely high replay value.

The South was closer than the Midwest, though it slightly broke for me. This plus my wins in California and Ohio put me over Wofford.
