That's exactly why I did not believed until a last moment that he would accept this post. A post he can be dismissed in any minute. His congressional district was safe, he was fourth-ranking Democrat and, given age of Pelosi, Hoyed and Clyburn, almost certainly top ranking in fugure.

Well, I'd rather stay in House on his place.

Let's get real. He blowed his chances for the greatest advance he could have in his career, the Speaker of the House someday (or Minority Leader), by resigning his seat and fourth positon in the caucus.
