So how long is it going to take prick to sexually harass someone?

'This' prick, I think, is more appropriate, SS.  After all, the Senate is nearly all pricks, so its hardly in keeping with the traditions of seniority to just entitle Franken 'Prick' before he's even seated.

With so many pricks in the Senate, it's no wonder that Charlie Crist is so eager to join.

You weren't around when I posted the thread that I'm referencing with this remark.

WTF? I wasn't dyslectic before reading that post. I am now.

Minnesota now has to suffer with this low life for 5 and half years. A state that has produced so many legendary politicians has stooped to this level. Well at least they now have there fair share in the Senate.

I couldn't be happier.  We're now back to where we should be:  One crazy whacked out liberal and one normal, neverheardathembefore.

even if we assume Spade's story to be 100% true, he has to be naive to believe that none of the other 99 senators have done similar/worse things

I can't even begin to say how much this thread has made me laugh.  Personally I'm quite pleased that Franken has won the contest.  So, what if he is a complete douchebag?  He'll hardly be noticeable amongst a field of 99 other grade-A douches, that's for sure.  Tongue

Grumble...

I really didn't want this ass in the senate.  I'll be so angry if he actually makes a difference in the Cap and Trade vote.

But alas, my anger means nothing.

Hmm. Franken's final victory is a nice bit of news after a rather relentless day.

Since 1/12th of Franken's term has been stolen from him, I personally believe he should be entitled to 12/11th of a vote, on every vote, for the remaining 11/12th, so as to bring his term up to full value. Tongue
[The practical consequence would be to take the tiebreaking vote away from the VP and give it to Franken, in addition to his normal vote which is the same value as everyone else's.]

So can you republicans explain why al franken is the most terrible thing to ever happen to the senate, aside from the fact that he's a shrill partisan (something that both sides have plenty of, and he's toned it down quite a bit)? I don't see how he's worse than jim bunning, a senile old man who doesn't even bother to do his job, or some of the racist senators like theodore bilbo that have been in the senate in decades past.

Well, there's a lot more emotional power when it's your family member involved, as opposed to some random person. So from that standpoint his reaction is perfectly understandable.

However, you are correct that an inability to rationally detach one's self from the emotional component is a definite character flaw in an analyst.

Yes, now that he's a senator, he really is a clown for a living. It's good that Inhofe realizes what he and Franken really are.

I don't really think that a member of the other party should be automatically considered as competition.  It's not like Franken is running against Inhofe in an election.

He just expressed a fact, anyhow.

The same way I'm expressing a fact by calling Inhofe a complete idiot?
