Using Dave's Redistricting App and his new population estimates, I drew a map of what Ohio's 33 Senate districts may look like in 2012:

link to the current districts for comparison. You'll notice that my map does a much better job of preserving counties, especially smaller ones. However, the actual redistricting process involves drawing the 99 house districts first and then adding 3 together to create the 33 Senate districts which could lead to this difference. All districts are within the constitutionally allowed 5% of the ideal population size except the Stark County district. The Ohio Constitution allows districts consisting of one entire county to deviate by 10%.
