I just noticed that the Netherlands is the only member state with representation in all seven European groups. And then there are 4 Dutch non-inscrits as well.

Poland is only represented in three groups (with 50 MEPs), while Latvia manages to spread its 8 MEPs over 6 groups.

On a side note, former Polish PM Jerzy Busek (PO/EPP) has been elected President.

Some remarks,

It is difficult to believe, that there is no MEPs from Italy in green or far left group.

Netherlands is now France of the 7th EP  herited that position from Poland.

Thanks to a new thresshold of 5 % and an inability to coorporate the Greens and the Left parties lost all their mandates
