Socialist Group also changed its name again (probably because it was nearly identical to the Liberal Group's name).

This leads to the current composition for the new EP:

EPP
PASD (Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats, formerly PES)
ALDE
ECR (European Conservatives and Reformists)
Greens-EFA
EUL-NGL

And thus ends to long adventure of first Gaullism, later Pasquaism, and later a bunch of unconnected parties ranging from decent centrists to far-right.

And no Danish People's Party - The Tories don't consider them a mainstream centre left party acording to James Holtum, press secretary for the Conservative in the parliament.
http://politiken.dk/politik/article737561.ece (in Danish)

The article says that the Tories don't consider the Danish People's Party to be a mainstream centre right party. I think the DPP is neither a centre left nor a centre right Party, so we are both correct. Wink

There will be some anti-EU bloc (not over 60 non-inscrits´).

You mean another anti-EU bloc...

Looks like Nigel Farage will struggle to form any kind of group from what's left of UEN/IND/DEM

MPF, SGP, LAOS, TT (ex ldp), together 22. Crucial is, whether Lega Nord would join that group.

Might FPÖ, DUP or LS-HZDS join such a group?

A bit strange, since the Pirates seems to be quite anti-EU

N-VA joins EFA instead of EPP. So it has become more and more old VU

It might have something to do with the breakup of the alliance between CD&V and N-VA.

DF 2 MEP's
LAOS 2 MEP's
True Finns 1 MEP
SGP 1 MEP
DUP 1 MEP

29 MEP's from 7 countries, a bit more MEP's that needed and the minimum amounth of countries. Non from Eastern Europe.

According to a press conference which was held today they eventually settled on the name "Europe of Freedom and Democracy".

6 countries, I think. DUP is part of the UK delegation, not the Irish delegation.

Jens,

Libertas France (MPF from De Villiers) is missing in your list, 2 MEPs.

This makes a grand total of 31 MEPs from 7 countries.

The Slovak National Party has also joined the group.
http://indemgroup.eu/32/news/556/?tx_ttnews backPid=1&cHash=913b16272c
But according to this list DUP is not in it!

30 MEP's from 8 countries.

Edit: the link is a bit weird. Insert  [  ] before and after backPid to get it to work
Edit 2: never mind. It works without the [ ] Silly internet thingy.

SGP and SNS are against the FPÖ joining "Europe of Freedom and Democracy".

Lega Nord, the Danish People's Party and LAOS are in favor of the FPÖ joining.

Indrek Tarand (the Independent MEP from Estonia) seems to join the Greens/EFA group. At least, that is what this list on the Greens/EFA web site suggests.
