Andrew Napolitano, Jim Gray, Edwin Vieira, and my uncle would top the list. Not sure who the other five would be.

The first person to post the name of a TV "Judge" loses 50 cool points.

I'm only going to appoint one person, to Souter's seat, which is what this thread should have done. I'd appoint Kim McLane Wardlaw

John Roberts, Jr. (Chief Justice)
Antonin Scalia
Samuel Alito, Jr.
J. Michael Luttig
Emilio Garza
Anthony Kennedy
Sonia Sotomayor
Adalberto Jordan
Leroy Hassell, Sr.
---------------------------------

I would be willing to go with a much more liberal Supreme Court once DC vs. Heller is strengthened, Roe vs. Wade (and, by extension, Planned Parenthood vs. Casey) is struck down, and gay marriage advocates give up hopes of forcing gay marriage on the nation by judicial fiat.

Until then, I am perfectly content to let the Federalist Society reign supreme over the judiciary branch for a time.

Nobody particularly comes to mind, but I would have three conservatives, three libertarians, and three liberals.

Certainly not.  I would depend on you to keep the majority in line!  And you'd be just the guy to do it.  Only Nixon could go to China, yanno...

Interesting list. I am not sure appending my name to it at the bottom is meant as a compliment however, given "the names" above (a little Lloyds of London lingo there for you). Tongue
