Assuming the GOP had nominated a clear non-interventionist like Taft for Pres., in 1940, and German-Americans ralled behind him.  What would  the electoral map had looked like had German-Americans gotten behind him with the level of support that, for example, white protestant southerners were giving to Democrats.  I'm guessing that every non-Southern state outside of New England (already part-GOP) and Utah becomes more likely for a GOP victory, especially the upper tier of states from Pennsylvania thru the Dakotas.
