A call to a vote has been deemed necessary by the Governor of the Dirty South. I wish for us to vote on the following initiatives. The booth will be open for 72 hours starting today at 3pm and closing on April 7 at 3pm. You know the deal; aye or nay for the following...

Help the Dirty South Study Act

Section 1:
a.) The Dirty South has been granted funds from the federal government to subside education for those between the ages of 18 and 30

Section 2:
a.) The funds shall be allocated on a solely merit based basis
b.) No student may receive more money than the cost of solely tuition at the institution of their choosing

Section 3:
a.) In order to qualify for these funds, the student must meet the following requirments:
-ranked in the top 20% of their high school class
-scored a minimum of 1200 on the verbal and math section of the SATs,
or a 27 composite score on the ACT
b.) The money will be split equally among all students acheiving this criteria.

Section 4:
a.) All monies given out shall be entitled "Fmr. Gov. Kingofthebenchpress Scholarships"

Freedom of Currency Amendment

1. Article I, Section XII, shall be added to read the following:
a. The government of the Dirty South shall gradually take Atlasian dollars out of circulation within the Dirty South.
b. The government of the Dirty South shall circulate currency called "dixies," which can be exchangable for a pegged amount of gold at any time.
c. Section 2 will be enforced on a purely voluntary basis, and no legal tender laws will be used to force businesses to accept dixies as currency.

Dirty South Capital Relocation Act

1. Effective immediately following the passage of this law by the votes of the region's citizens, the capitol city of the Dirty South will be relocated from Memphis, Tennessee to Charleston, South Carolina, and the funds for building a Governor's Plantation will be up for debate.
