Hasn't Nelson been around in Nebraska through Democratic popularity lows before?  Like in 1994 he won reelection by one of the highest margins ever in Nebraska...I mean, he is the Senator with one of the highest (used to be THE highest) popularity rating among his own constituents.  But that probably doesn't even mean anything to your noggin
I don't think a gubenatorial race against token opposition can be equated to a senate race especially if a well-funded and liked challenger emerges

Nice thread. I love old predictions like these... the one about MA I especially enjoyed, considering the Brown-Warren saga. It's like somebody had said right after 2014 that Sessions's seat could be vulnerable.
