Ok...Here is a interesting thought...After the tough 1988 Democratic Primary Campaign, many within the Jackson camp felt as if they were owed the VP slot after their strong second place finish yet Dukakis refused. But what if the Duke went against the idea of picking an Old School Democrat but went with an "Unity in '88" theme instead? After making an eloquent acceptance speech, where he passionatley apoligized for his anti-semetic remarks during the 1984 campaign, Jackson seems to add an air of charisma to the ticket.

The Dukakis/Jackson ticket keeps to its populist message and "The Best America is yet to come" campaign theme to appeal to voters in the South and the Midwest. Also there is no Abrams disaster or Rape of Kitty Dukakis gaffe's. Yet a liberal ticket such as this one would also be Lee Attwater's wet dream...So how would the Electoral map turn out?

Yeah...I think even with a flawless campaign, it would be really hard to get to those two elected. Here is how I think it will go down

1. Most Likely Scenario...With increased black voter turn out, Duakakis is able to pull of Maryland and Illinois...West Virginia stays Democratic for the time being  but it is one on a extremley close margin.

George H.W. Bush/Dan Quayle: 392 Electoral Votes
Michael Dukakis/Jesse Jackson: 146 Electoral Votes

2. Best Case scenario...Dukakis/Jackson is able to renergize the Democrats liberal base, as well as winning back some of the Reagan Democrats.

George H.W. Bush/Dan Quayle: 293 Electoral Votes
Michael Dukakis/Jesse Jackson: 245 Electoral Votes

3. Best Case Scenario for Bush...Lee Attwater makes the Dukakis/Jackson ticket more of his bitch than IOTL lol.

George H.W. Bush/Dan Quayle: 460 Electoral Votes
Michael Dukakis/Jesse Jackson: 78 Electoral Votes
