That'd be pretty messed up if Crist did try and side on the Mack/Rubio debate.

Besides Crist is still technically considering this, pending his announcement on after he gets the budget passed in a  couple months

Charlie Crist is more than likely going to run, he is going to decide whether or not to form an exploratory committee on May 1.

If he does run, hell will freeze over before Democrats could get this seat. Kendrick Meek just needs to cancel his bid and stay in the House; there's no way he or any other Democrat could defeat Crist.

Democrats just need to pull out and focus their resources from Florida into other vulnerable seats: Ohio, Pennsylvania, New Hampshire, Missouri, North Carolina.

Does anyone know if the primaries in Florida are open or closed? If they're closed and Rubio keeps bashing Crist for being LIBRUL and an Obama supporter, he might go somewhere. But if the primaries are open he's wasting his time.

Excellent, I'd like to see Crist in the Senate.

Crist is a liberal Obama supporter. Crist has got to go bye bye.

He's got his pick of offices next year though.  Alas, living in a purple state.  Look at your two Senators and your Governor.

Yeah, can't find a conservative in the bunch. Crist will be gone though, people are pretty pissed at him as Governor.

I remember States singing Crist's praises about a year ago when Crist got married. He called him a "real Governor," whatever that means.  Tongue

Haha, I still think Crist was the best VP choice for McCain.  And only 20% of that was because of the Christ vs. Hussein insinuation in the wordplay.

Sink seems to be hoping that he'll go for the Senate, but only seems to be interested in running for an open seat, who else could make him gone?  Iorio is/was also wishing that Crist would depart and wanted to run for an open seat, but now that all three Democratic candidates in the US senate primary are from the exact same county, she seems to be rethinking.

No one is interested in primarying him.  Hell, Marco is running an "I'm running for Senate or Governor, whatever one Crist isn't running in" campaign.  Even if Crist's popularity takes a dip, it seems that he'll get only token opposition.  At least from my generic following of google news searches and regularly checking: http://blogs.tampabay.com/buzz/

If you think I'm the only one who has a disdain for Crist you're only fooling yourself. Anyhow, what's a Canadian know about Florida outside of coming here and driving horribly?

What's Crist's current approval rating? IIRC it was around 70% a month ago
