No change from the actual electoral vote of 1984.
While Congresswoman Geraldine Ferraro was a complete token and a horrible, unqualified, candidate for Vice President, I see no reason why Henry Cisneros, a three year Mayor of a city of 1,000,000 would have any more credibility as a candidate for Vice President.
While Ferraro was a token female candidate, Cisneros would have been a token Hispanic candidate, seen as a blatant and desperate ploy by Mondale to gain attention, and to attract votes from Hispanics and minorities.
It would not work. Reagan's popularity in 1984 was of such magnitude that any Democrat, no matter who their running mate was, would be going down to a devastating defeat.
About the only difference I see in this race as compared to the actual race, was that Reagan's margins in states with considerable Hispanic populations would have been slightly smaller, due to the fact there was a Hispanic on the Democratic ticket, however, not nearly enough of an impact to swing any states.
Reagan/Bush 525
Mondale/Cisneros 13
