Something that must be considered is that this would likely result in an Arab World that was more more right-wing (in the classical sense, meaning monarchist/feudalistic/traditionalist, not fascist/radical-right), more uniformly Islamic/religious conservative, and more "moderate" ("moderate" here as opposed to "radical" in the "little-r" sense, not as opposed to "extreme"). Most of the left-leaning/"radical"/"revolutionary"/nationalist/socialist/"anti-imperialist" movements/ideologies and regimes in the Arab World (Nasserism, Baathism, Gaddafism, et. al) were specifically created, and became popular among politicians/military/elite and to a lesser extent the masses, in large part because of Zionism and the perceived ineptitude of the conservative/traditional Arab governments in being sufficiently anti-Zionist; the later development of "Radical Islam," modern Salafi Jihadism, Khomeinist-inspired movements, etc. came about both as an ideological reaction to the left-leaning Arab "revolutionary" ideologies as well as because of the eventual perceived ineptitude of those regimes and movements in being sufficiently anti-Zionist.

To the above post, I don’t think you realize how badly the Zionist movement polarized the early communist movement in the arab world, or how much Israel contributed to the eventual demise of Arab nationalism and communism far more than it galvanized it.

Anyway the old BRTD and old Atlas was whack

Why does it have to take 2 pages before someone says the obvious-the existence of a Jewish state is a good thing.
