I am liking something in the area of 700 votes at the final margin.

oops, actually twice that:

http://www.politico.com/blogs/scorecard/0309/Will_the_race_be_called_tonight.html

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. -- Just chatted with Saratoga County Republican party chairman Jasper Nolan here at Republican Jim Tedisco's party.

Nolan said he doesn’t think that the race will be called tonight because there are about 10,000 outstanding absentee ballots left to be counted -- and he thinks that tonight’s margin will be within that number.

Why did anyone even listen to those who said it was a good idea to appoint Hillary as Secretary of State?

New York's idiot governor could have appointed someone else to replace her.

A Murphy >70 precinct just came in.  Looks like there's some chance that the remaining Saratoga precincts trend Springs.  Hard to imagine it will be enough.

Tedisco 68,641 (50.5%)
Murphy 67,322 (49.5%)

Tedisco +1,319

But will those 10k absentees tilt GOP or Dem?

I think my question got lost. It seems some overseas votes may have not come in, and it appears they are given more time (days). Apparently, most of the counties sent ballots late for overseas New Yorkers. Does anyone have any details on this? I lost the article that I read. Sad

If true, and there are overseas votes yet to have been counted (which generally favor Republicans), is this going to have an huge impact, or does it look like Tedisco already has it?

Later Saratoga precincts seem to be disproportionally Democratic.  This could tighten.

Tedisco 69,369 (50.5%)
Murphy 68,122 (49.5%)

Margin: Tedisco +1,247

All but 11 Saratoga precincts (plus the missing Delaware and Columbia county precincts) in:
Tedesco 69,369 (50.45%)
Murphy  68,122 (49.55%)

I imagine a lot of those absentees are military.

Delaware ended up only +26 Tedisco.

Still 8 precincts out from Columbia and 14 from Saratoga, plus all the absentees...

We aren't going to know a winner tonight.

11 of the Saratoga ones went Murphy by about 50 votes. He should win tonight by 200 or so.
