This is to announce that, should GMantis fail to attain the necessary 25% approval to remain in office, I will be running for the position next weekend.

And now for an image of the Midwest regional waterfowl doing what it does best:

Did GMantis not seek another term or did he just get messed up?

Our region's constitution provides that before an actual election, voters first decide whether they wish to keep the current ilikeverin. If more than 75% decide they don't want to retain the ilikeverin, then an election is held. Lewis is talking in case I don't get 25%, he will be a candidate.

That's certainly an interesting system. (I don't really have much more to say than that's neat, Tongue)

The system was set up to ensure ilikeverin would remain the ilikeverin for ever and ever more while passing constitutional muster.
Then he went off to the Senate. Smiley

I am abstaining from voting in this election, because: 1) I don't care for the "system" described above, 2) I don't necessarily want to vote for GMantis, or against him either, and 3) this cutesy "ilikeverinship" title makes me vomit, I hope the next "ilikeverin" will restore some dignity to the office by re-establishing the office's proper name.

You could always move to the Mideast, we need more active people.

True, I could, but I am a Minnesotan and I'm going to keep my fantasy politics residence the same as reality.
