Maricopa, AZ   132K
Utah, UT   84K
Montgomery, TX   83K
Collin, TX   75K
Tarrant, TX   73K
Tulsa, OK   62K
Waukesha, WI   59K
Denton, TX   58.7K
St. Tammany, LA   58.4K
El Paso, CO   51K
Ocean, NJ   50K

Interesting how Orange, CA is not on this list. It was 38K which was actually 2nd in CA after Kern.

Maricopa won't be in this list in 2012... it might stay republican, but not by nearly that much.

I imagine McCain got a home state bounce there, but I calculated Maricopa's results had it swung with the national average, the Republican margin would be around 71K, which would still make this list. Keep in mind that it has a large land area and includes places that are quite rural.

Another notable county missing from the list is Harris County, Texas, which was Bush's fourth-largest vote margin (after Orange, Maricopa and Utah) but voted for Obama this year.
