Same matchup except that the GOP nominates televangelist Pat Robertson to head up it's ticket rather than George H.W. Bush.  What is the result?

Dukakis wins. 

Robertson is considered too radical for the majority of the country.

Duke wins. Robertson may make it respectable and would probably do better than Goldwater in 64, but would be held below 200 EV.

I think a lot of it would depend on what Reagan would say following his heir-apparent's defeat. If he was enthusiastic in his support, it would be somewhat close, though definitely a Dukakis win; if Reagan were more tepid, it would be a Dukakis landslide.
