Elections were held yesterday for municipal councils across Victoria.

Here is the latest. The VEC website is at its usual unhelpful best.

Down here, the Greens ran endorsed candidates, at one of the booths I was campaigning at, the Labor Party had endorsed a candidate. Everyone else was running as an independent, as far as I'm aware. I know the Liberal Party didn't endorse candidates, although some Liberal Party members still ran for council - it's just they were running as independents. Some of them were higher profile, such as Robert Doyle, former state Opposition Leader, who is reported to have won the Melbourne City Council Lord Mayorlty. Results seem to have just gone up:
