Opposition won five Governor's offices (up from two last time), and among those were the two most populous states. They also got the Mayor's office in Caracas.

You know, for a dictator who allegedly fixes the elections, he does a pretty shitty job of it.

Or it makes clear exactly how bad he really did. Its pretty obvious he lost the referendum by more than 1% and rigged the margin  to save face.

Really, saying that of Chavez is like saying the same thing of Mugabe. Yeah, he loses elections, but that is not a sign that there was anything fair about them or that he would willingly leave if voted out.

And I am saying this as someone who was sympathetic to him until around 2004.
