There is no alternative option. This is a push poll, to see what people ultimately think when it comes down to these two choices.

It depends, since I have to choose I'll go "poor people are lazy"

But I think they are related is my true answer.  I think that if you are poor it is more than likely because you are lazy and unmotivated and I think that people that are not greedy become so when they are rich.  However, there are more rich people who are not greedy than poor people who are not lazy.

With very few exceptions, the poor could do something to lift themselves out of poverty.

option two.  I work with plenty of poors and most of them are not lazy.  meanwhile the rich girl I know well can't conceive of not keeping both of her two houses!  but I love her anyway.

If a poor man becomes rich, will he get greedy?  And if a rich man loses everything, will he get lazy?

Greed, while negative at a personal level, is largely the fuel that drives capitalism. Those who end up amassing great wealth are pretty much always greedy (otherwise they'd just give away all the wealth they earn, something quite rare), though greed is hardly unique to the rich. Many poor are greedy but just not lucky/skilled enough to become rich.

Blaming the victim is fun, isn't it. When republican business people complain to me that worker's rights, like the FLSA, makes the government price them out of business, I ask them if it was simply them. If it was they that weren't adaptable enough to succed in more challenging circumstances.

So it's not blaming victims when you say that someone is having a hard time because they are too dumb to succeed?

He said "not lucky/skilled enough", not "too dumb". No one is blaming the victim.

I think greed is a trait more fundamentally present in people than stupidity. The rich and the poor can both be greedy and/or dumb. It's a vast oversimplification, and downright ignorant to categorize either group as "either/or".

I am just reading between the lines to find a common talking point and showing its falliability to just have one side use it. However, I am just looking at basic thought patterns and generalities, not facts or total beliefs.

There are plenty of "dumb" people who succeed financially, and plenty of "smart" people who don't; intelligence isn't always the skill required to amass wealth. All I said was, that while the rich are indeed greedy, it's not like they're the only ones who're greedy, plenty of poor people are greedy too, but just don't have the proper skill-set to amass wealth.

Is it wrong to suggest that people have different abilities?

That sounds reasonable, primarily because it takes the determinationism out of the equation. Then again, this was only a broad generalization sort of thing.
