The vast majority of non-lds lawmakers in Utah are democrats and much of the states unique legislation stems from it's moromonism. Democrats are dominant in SLC despite the city being very white and otherwise not demographicaly suited towards the margins it gives democrats. Is this because of the state's mormon dominance.
