Who wants to bet that this one will also require a recount?

Don't worry, the King County Election Truck is gassed up and ready to dump Rossi votes into the sound.

Obama's coattails will pull Gregoire across the finish line.

A 2% lead is about as big as Gregoire can hope for in this election.

I'm projecting the final result for Gregoire to be somewhere between 50.5 and 51.5

Agreed. It will be the only interesting race to follow on November 4 that's for sure. At least we know with the Governor's race in Washington, that we won't know the result until after midnight. One can only hope. As for the election, I'm still predicting a Gregoire victory. Though her victory over Rossi won't be by much, though not as much as her 2004 victory.

Oh it'll be long after midnight before this race is called - it'll be days. Remember, 90% of Washingtonians vote-by-mail and something like 20% or more of those ballots aren't received until after election day.

Yeah. Elections in Washington suck so much these days...

At this late stage in the race, it is a good sign for Gregoire that she is hitting the magic 50% mark.  If the millions of dollars of negative advertising from the RGA and the BIAW hasn't taken her down up till now, she may be developing some teflon.

Considering how many people will be voting early because of our nearly-all mail voting system, it's a good sign for her that she's leading right now.
