Yes it should be illegal. Imagine several rich people buying out the rest of the tickets so if you want one you have to pay their higher price.

This is why I think it should be illegal, its just another way for rich to  the middle and poor classes.

How about either one of you actually come up with an example of a bunch of rich people buying all the tickets for an event & selling them for a considerably higher price?

Usually scalping consists of poor and middle class people making money off the rich, not the other way around. Go find some ticket scalpers next time you're near a sporting event. They're usually not exactly dressed in Armani suits.

it should not be illegal. It does not hurt anyone. The man selling them get money and the person paying for them gets to go see the event. it looks like a win, win.

It's not like the team/venue that originally sold the damn ticket is losing any money.  They already got theirs.

My dad used to drive a limo.  Eight Sundays a year (or an occasional Monday night) he'd get chartered to take a group of people to Soldier Field for the Bears game, and wait for them until it was over.

So, he'd wait until five minutes after kickoff, and get a ticket from a scalper for half the price on the ticket.  The only person hurt there was the scalper.
