Disappointing in Ohio, but at least the poll consensus favors Obama there. As for the rest, hurrah!

LOL at those Ohio numbers. Rasmussen is a Republican hack.

A Republican hack who has Obama up 7 in Florida?

Those numbers actually aren't that bad. I'm not putting all my hope in a comeback but it's still possible.

If Rasmussen has a number not favorable to Chris, he assumes that it's because Rasmussen's a hack, not because of actual factors in polling.

Naturally, we know who the only hack on this thread is, and it ain't Rasmussen.

I should, after all, point out the Rasmussen-Zogby discussion this afternoon on conservative talk radio.

His one-day Sunday numbers always look strange to me. Not that I'm unhappy with them.

Obama is up by 7 nationally yet he is down 1 point in Ohio?

Yeah, ok.

Care to debunk this poll just like you would have if Rasmussen had shown Obama up by 11 in Ohio?

How about MOE or 1 in 20 or some standard polling error issue, asshole?

How about you quit being a Republican hack who poses as an independent?

I am on to your antics, Sam.

Awesome rebuttal.  You really got to the brunt of his point.

I like this set of polls, but I think the Ohio poll is pretty damn accurate.  After all Obama wasn't really winning Ohio until just recently.

That's that "Go Yucky" can do.  He doesn't like some numbers, he attacks the posters.

You're not really in much of a position to talk, J.J.  You're 46 years old, and still using kindergarten nicknames.  This isn't even the first time I've raised this point to you.

Can we perhaps have two separate threads for predictions and the actual polls next time?

Not nearly as bad as I thought...Florida can...and I expect it to come back to McCain, same with Missouri...and Ohio...let's just say Obama has a bad "rap" here. Wink

It's deserved, in this case.  I have not attacked his numbers, and I do downplay those that show McCain way up in states that don't look that good for him (MN was a recent example, as was the Battleground tracking polls).  I do try to be fair here.

With this poll, Ohio is in the MOE and seems to still be leaning McCain but I really don't think that it will swing back to him as we go along in the season.  As for Florida there is a better chance the state will end up ultimately going to McCain simply because of the demographics of the state.  As for Missouri, I feel it is a McCain +4 state I really don't think Obama will win Missouri period.

There is truly no excuse for inventing names like 'Go Yucky', 'JFraud', 'Zach the Barack Hack', etc. for people you don't like and frequently argue with.  It's the kind of behavior that people grow out of in adolescence at the latest.  I am shocked that it takes a guy literally half your age to have to tell you this.

Anyway, this discussion is best kept for somewhere else.

Rasmussen was the most accurate poster in Florida in 2004 based on the final polls. Economy is bad there.

Ohio is perplexing. Probably a 1 in 20 as I can't conceive of Ohio being 8 or 9 points more Republican than the nation as a whole.
