What percent of the vote did John Anderson get in his Congressional District?

The most populous county in his district was Winnebago and that was also his home county. He got 21.5% there.

  The reason that Whitney ran so well in Winnebago County in the 2006 governor's race is because he was endorsed by the Rockford Register Star.
  I wish that there were a few other papers in the stat that would have had enough 'backbone' to endorse somebody who wasn't a Dem or Rep.  God knows a stir-up of the present political situation is needed.  Perhaps we will soon be saying 'Governor Quinn' but who knows.
