no, the lead is within the MOE, meaning it is a tossup.  Tossup seems correct to me.

That's ok... it doesn't mean that my half of this site is going to be happy with this poll. Within MOE or not, this is possibly the worst result Obama has gotten in Virginia from anyone in weeks.

Bush +6 at the same time in 2004.

I'll take McCain up 3 right now according to the best pollster, and ahead according to most of the rest of them.

Nah. Check the RCP average for the state. This result is fine by me. It seems to confirm Rasmussen. The state is highly competitive but, if anything, leans slightly toward McCain.

I don't remember, but didn't Bush overperform the polls in VA?  Or is that NC?

Anyways, good news.  Today, I think Obama would take the state, but on election day, I think it will go to McCain.

Bush overperformed in both NC and VA. Polls had him up 4 in VA and 8 in NC on election day, and he won them by 8 and 13 respectively.

So that's pretty nice to hear.  538.com states that VA will be at the national average, and I kind of distrust that.  I think it followed that SUSA poll that showed Obama+6 in VA.

Lots of people insult Obama on the forum.  But they don't do it through repetitive sarcastic remarks on every single thread (and that's not all they do).

Sure I do. The difference here is that my guy is winning.   Wink
