I am not making this up. The irony is almost too much. I did a little digging in the archives of the Anchorage Daily News and found some very interesting material on Gov. Palin.

"In a nationally televised Jan. 5 debate in Manchester, N.H., the Bush doctrine sparked several minutes of heated debate. Former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani and Texas Rep. Ron Paul traded views on the wisdom of the Bush doctrine, with Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, former Tennessee Sen. Fred Thompson and McCain all weighing in.

And what was Sarah Palin doing in early January of 2008, when the GOP presidential hopefuls were giving American voters a chance to see them all in one place, to judge them side by side in the media lights of the night if not the pure light of day?

She was making TransCanada her choice for a state-licensed natural gas pipeline project that will likely end up being subsidized by – you guessed it – hundreds of millions of dollars in federal earmarks."
