A mildly unplausible timeline after looking at a diagram of our second republic, here's a timeline where it's able to survive albeit with constitutional changes over the years.

Once again, not the most plausible of all timelines so please skip on any plausibility comments unless a dragon is elected to the National Assembly.

Constitutional notes: The constitution of 1848 is the constitution of France for most, if not all, of the timeline's time span.

However, some articles will be altered during the story.

Political Groups of the Second Republic

Monarchists and Conservatives

Parti de l'Ordre- As the name indicates, the Parti de l'Ordre is a conservative, traditionalist, and monarchist political party opposed to Bonapartism and radical socialism.

Montagne Blanche- Royalist ultras supportive of universal suffrage (only to re-establish the monarchy)

Bonapartists- Supporters of Louis-Napoleon Bonaparte, nephew of Napoleon I. Generally opposed to the Republic and to socialists.

Democrats and Moderates

Democrats- Moderate centrists, supportive of the republic and of universal suffrage.

Socialists

Socialists- More moderate socialists that support universal suffrage, social laws, and social justice.

Montagnards- Far-left deputies taking up the name of the former group "Montagne" during the French Revolution. The cause of the pre-constitution worker's riots in Paris.
