Well, Obama has never made an effort for SD.  He is only running ads in ND and MT, I think with little spillover.

But yeah, he's probably lost those two states thanks to Mrs. Palin.

I'm not sure why this poll is "bad news for Obama."  He wasn't going to win this state anyway, and the odds of him winning anything classified as Safe Republican in 2004 fell to zero once Palin was picked.

What this poll re-enforces is that Palin and the successful convention has allowed McCain to now solidify Bush 2004 states...and thus states like Georgia, and North Carolina...that were too close for comfort...are now solidly for McCain/Palin.

I'm liking our chances...the base is rallied...time to GOTV in the Bible Belt.
