The comparison is absurd since Tilden's campaign was also involved in massive electoral fraud and voter suppression. Mississippi was most certainly stolen and there is no way he could have gotten close in Louisiana and South Carolina in a fair election. All three of these states were majority Black and would have voted easily Republican if they hadn't been intimated by local democrats.
