Has the media been fair in its cvoverage or is this another Iraq booboo.

Remember the reporting or lack of it before the invasion of iraw. amazing wasnt it.

so lets look at the facts regarding georgia and russia.

Mikheil Saakashvili is a lying thug who is just like Saddam Hussien. He bombed brutally and without any remorse killing children and making others homeless because the people of South Ossetia and Abhazia wanted to be free. Is it a crime for a people to want a country of your own and be free.

Russia RESPONDED to this thug who was killing and mispacing thousands of people.

america with its nato - america occupational force of europe - this post war 1945 instiution to combat the USSR is forcing its way across europe along the middle east obsessed with world domination.

In Latvia and Lithuania its a crime to speak Russian. Despite 40% of both populations speaking the language. In both countries you cant even elect your leader. Parliaments which is American controlled does it for them. No wonder that both these countries have a less than 20% popularity of America and view themselves as pawns for America against Russia. Inflation is skyhigh and parliaments in lithuania and latvia recently ended any social security benefits for people over 60.

this is the american empire. this is nato.

the worse thing about this world is not the flat out corruption of governments around the world but the fact that everyone is in on it.

when does it stop? until every nation in the world has an american occupational force in its country with mcdonalds and rupert murdochs media outside? how many more people have to die for Americas empire?

WHY DID THE AMERICA MEDIA NOT TELL ITS PEOPLE THAT THE GEORGIA PRESIDENT AUTHORIZED A MASS KILLING AND DEVASTATION OF ALL PEOPLE IN SOUTH OSSETIA AND ABHAZIA?

How would you feel

Yes, it's called treason.

Confused, mostly. Or dead. If I wasn't dead, then confused. I'd be all like, "Hey, I live in Ohio, bombing us isn't a great way to help your buddies win in an election year.. tends to irk folks."

Bombing Cleveland could make someone wildly popular.  Wink

Put me down for an answer much like tik's; though presumably bombing Ireland wouldn't be nearly as bad electorally as bombing Ohio - it might even gain the Republicans BRTD's vote!

I'd be honored... I think. I mean, it would be sweet of him to think of bombing Connecticut before other places like Taxachussettes or New York.. but at the same time I'd be confused. Why would he want to bomb a state with a Republican Governor? AKWARD?!11/!?1

If George Bush bombed my state and destroyed my home, I'd want Canada to mount a massive military offensive against the United States and bomb all the homes around mine that aren't destroyed yet.

The nation with Tilsi as capital and that includes South Ostia?

If George Bush bombed Ottawa, I'd be quite surprised. His best friend lives here a good part of the year.

Well I was pretty upset when I found out Bush and his choice of successor were eating birthday cake while my home was being destroyed. Just curious, do Obama, Biden, or Palin have a birthday next week?

South Ossetia yes. Abkhazia no. There wouldn't be a majority for Independence if those opposed to it weren't living in Georgia since 1993.

I certainly wouldn't feel like voting for McCain just because Hillary lost, that's for sure.

Absolutely, and I think his strong leadership in handling Gustav is proving me right.

It looks like they're doing a surprisingly decent job of handling Gustav.

Is that a legitimate excuse? Person A didn't do anything either, so obviously who cares about Person B, huh?

Sorry, but it's a stupid comment. What should Bush have done? Stood on a levee like Moses and push the water back with God granted strength? This is like the same "Bush didn't do enough on 9/11" argument.
