Zachary Taylor was booted off the island, having only been president for 1.5 years. Like WWH, there isn't anything else I care to say about him.

Now, with 23 men left, it's your choice as to who stays, & who goes. Be aware that over 1/3 of the Presidents have now been eliminated. Now with numbers denoting the order in which they were voted off, per Torie's suggestion.

I changed more rules regarding tiebreakers in order to avoid future confusion. The changed content in the rules is still bolded. The rest is still DanimalBR's work.

I also changed a few of the following rules to make it easier for me.

To add, if I'm not online & the next topic is not open yet at or soon after midnight, Xahar, or anyone else of my choosing, can open the next one. If he's not available either, & it opens more than six hours late, the deadline will be pushed back a day to give everyone a fair chance to vote. Per the rules, this will close at the end of the day of Thursday, August 21th, 2008.

Here's how I predict the next few rounds to go:
Someone who prays to FDR at night votes for someone else
Conservatives vote for FDR
Others who pray to FDR continue to be blind sheep to save FDR
Good presidents are voted off in an effort to save this slimeball
Eventually FDR is done away with

Would this be similar to how Republicans pray to Reagan at night?

Yes, we often do get down on and pray for him to spring back to life.  However, we also pray that FDR does not come back so that we can avoid socialism and interventionism

It would be funny if it got to FDR v. Washington & the pro-FDR crowd pulled him out there.

     Anyway, FDR.

McKinley.

The libs blew it here, by going after HW Bush. The result is that FDR is going down. I am not going to tank good presidents with whom I have ideological comfort before their time, just to save FDR. Sorry.

As I said last time, if it looks like Lincoln has a shot at losing, I'll assist you in voting him off. But if it turns out to be, say, JFK v. Nixon, I reserve the right to defend Nixon.
