Uh-oh.  What's going to happen to his status in the Democratic caucus?

Every suspicion anyone ever had about McCain, that he wasn't a loyal Republican, that he isn't a real Conservative, would be confirmed by picking a pro-choice Jew who voted single-handedly could have kept the Senate in Republican hands, but voted for Harry Reid instead.

When did Lieberman become pro-choice?

It's already been floated that he will lose his seniority in the caucus come the next Congress since the Dems expect to pick up enough Senate seats to not need Joe's vote.

Joe is done as a Democrat after the 2008 election. Let him go to the Republicans.

And become the most liberal republican?  No.  If the Dems don't want to list them on their rolls, then when he goes up for reelection, he should run as a true independent, and not as an independent democrat.

Republicans love Joe and Joe loves Republicans.  Joe should go with his heart and let the Democratic party move on from him.

I don't think his reelection is anything to waste energy thinking about. It's all about the course he'll chart for himself in the next two Congresses.

I'd support him.
