Well I was "forced" to volunteer in order to graduate HS as well. Can we blame that on Obama as well? Anyways I do not think anybody should be required to volunteer but everyone should know that your chances of getting into a good college or profession can sometimes depend on your volunteering experience. It ain't a bad thing for anybody involved. And yes sometimes giving time to an organization is more valuable than cutting a $100 check. And since kids aren't in a position to write checks as such, volunteering their time is a wonderful way to give back to the community. But ill stop before I start sounding like some left wing nazi or something of the sort.

Again, you're missing my main point.  I'm against the forced volunteering for sure, but I don't think that's the end of the world.  My big beef is with Obama's tactics to get what he thinks is best done and the inability of you on the left to see that.  Are you being willfully obtuse or do you actually approve of those kind of tactics?
